750 ml bottle enjoyed form an oversized wine glass.
A: Murky amber orange in color. There was very little foam, but it left some nice lacing around the edge of the glass.
S: Strong barley and toasted hop aromas, with some sweet malt and dark fruits (plum).
T: Dry and bitter, but in a roasted rye bread way, rather than a hoppy kind of bitterness. I also get oak, bourbon, prunes, and a hint of mild licorice. There's an expected amount of boozy kick at the end.
M: Slightly chewy and creamy.
D: The 9.2% ABV means it drinks like a wine and should probably be treated like one. I was happy to finish off a bomber, and would definitely drink this one again, especially when the weather turns a bit colder.
