Pours out amber brown and sits crimson brown in the glass with a good sized, creamy off-white head. Resiliant in form, holds it's own on top, leaving a thick lacings all around the glass.
Smells rich and malty, big citric hop influence dishing out ripe oranges, grapefruit and lemon with a dusting of pine. Sappy caramel pudding and toasty malts. Vibrant spruce up and down.
Tastes mildly sweet up front, malts come through, pushing caramel and light toffee. Mellow hop flavors of orange and grapefruit rind. Piney to the core, spicing the tongue with oily residue. Alcoholic glow in the background, shining all the way down. Aggressive bitter finish.
Smooth, creamy, silky fine carbonation and a full body.
Very inviting on all ends. I've been sitting on this bottle for about a year now, and it's still got got enough to it to impress. It's character is perfect for a spicy food pairing, curried chicken and rice all the way. Throw down for it, you won't be dissapointed.
