Wiseman Justin Reporting:
Appearance: One of the best looking barleywines. Thick two finger khaki head. Opaque amber; delicious. Lacing already sticking to the glass.
Smell: Caramel from two feet away. Hops, wet oak tree. It manages to smell chewy. It smells like diapers, in a good way.
Taste: Sour apples wow. Wow. Seriously. Somes hops, very little alcohol that you notice only in the aftertaste. Maybe some wood.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and light, almost no syrupy quality to this barleywine. Would like some more thickness.
Drinkability: All around an easy beer to drink, the sour apple taste is pretty unique. I'm still looking for that barleywine that can top Lagunitas.
