reviewed from notes, 12 oz btl poured into an Avery pint glass, poured by the bartender at Brendan O'Shea's, not sure of the vintage

A: pours a murky brown with a slight reddish hue and a thin cream colored head that leaves only a tiny amount of lacing

S: sweet, sweet fruit - I pick out mainly golden raisins and figs, the alcohol is quite apparent as well, maybe a hint of malt

T: overwhelming sweet fruit, a little too sweet, golden raisins and figs as in the nose, maybe some plums or sweet prunes as well, syrup like cheap pancake syrup as opposed to good maple syrup, some spice and a hint of hops, finishes with a big alcohol flavor

MF: medium bodied, not very much carbonation, quite smooth despite the big alcohol presence

O: I found this beer too sweet for my likiing I don't mind high alcohol as long as it's well hidden and it definitely was not in this case, otherwise it was pretty good, probably won't try this one again

Got this bottle from a liquor store in DC. July 2013 Batch 11.

A - Amber pour, bright, one finger tan head, good carbonation. No lace, no retention.

S - Bread, dark fruit, sugar.

T - Booze, sugar, spirits, quite sweet, sort a fecal element, mud, earth.

M - Decent carbonation, slick full body, harsh boozy finish.

O/D - This wasn't the best. Rough, boozy, and a bit too sweet with a very pungent off flavour. Too bad.
