A: Copper color. Pours with about 1/4" of thick, whitish head, but there is little retention and only minimal lacing. Slightly cloudy.
S: Heavy fruitiness. Malt, yeast, and a slight floral component.
T: Again a heavy yeasty fruitiness. Unripe sour plums or prunes. Some caramel malts that linger on the tongue. Fusel alcohols.
M: Medium in body with a medium-high carbonation level.
D: A decent beer, but not one which I find overly impressive. The alcohol (the bottle lists alcohol at 10.03% as opposed to what is listed above) is ever present and gives the beer a bit of a harsh, unrefined feel to it while the fruitiness is a little over the top. More reminiscent of a barleywine than an Oktoberfest.
