Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a tall beer glass.

Appearance: Pours a bronze/copper color with a vivid brightness. Moderate carbonation and a frothy white head. Light lacing on the edges of the glass.

Smell: I'm not a huge fan of Oktoberfest brews, but this smells heavenly. Light spices of cinnamon or nutmeg and a gentle hop addition accentuate a deliciously sweet malt nose. A touch of bitterness near the end, cloves as well. A smorgasbord of scents, all of which work well together.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Ooh, very sour! The alcohol makes no attempt to hide in this brew, that's the very first flavor to be noticed. Some sour fruitiness in the mix which is not unpleasant, per se; but it takes a moment to get used to. Brew is moderately heavy, with good foaming action. Cloves and hops are the only other taste-able flavors. Very bitter and sour.

Drinkability: The overall experience is worth it, this is a good beer. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but this is probably one of the best I have had thus far. Maybe the 10% ABV is a touch excessive, but hey, at least there is flavor to go along with it.
