Pours a orange-hued copper out of a bottle with a German military theme--Maltese crosses and a Kaiser wearing a pointy helmet. The 3-finger white head is creamy, with great retention--a topography of foamy pockets develop, yet it never really recedes on its own, only when sipped.
Those consists of malt and orange, pear, white grapes, and floral notes. The taste is subtlely spiced, along with apple, light berry, pepper, and malt.
The mouth is medium-bodied, yet smooth and slightly creamy, offering a stong amount of complexity. One of the best along with GLBC Oktoberfest, if not the best, of the season.
