Poured from a bottle into a perfect pint. 2009 batch
A- pours a slightly cloudy orange with a one finger slightly offwhite head. Head sticks around for awhile, great lacing. Impressive looking for the style
S- the typical burst of spices you get from a Marzen: lots of nutmeg and cinnamon and malty goodness. Its a little subdued in this though. The freshness may be a cause of that
T- it tastes...dare I say...really fresh and fall-ish. There's a good bit of good juicy hoppiness and spice. Unfortunately, the booze comes through a lot on this one too...almost overwhelming.
M- super malty...like, really malty. Way too much there
D- not too impressed...the idea of an imperial Oktoberfest is interesting, but I don't think it ends up in a good spot. Too malty, too boozy
