Poured in to a pint glass. Clear, copper colored body. Nice and bright. Khaki colored head, about 1 finger thick that faded down to 1/2 finger.
Aroma had some pleasant sweetness along with a great malty presence. Some earthy hop notes. Bready. Some light floral notes as well.
Taste a HUGE malt profile. Very bready with some caramely flavors. Big floral hop flavor at the end with a mild spiciness mixed in. Sweetness was rather large upfront, but faded down to an acceptable level at the end. Mild notes of alcohol. I think a little extra aging would do this beers wonders.
Mouthfeel was medium/full body with medium carb. Nice crisp finish. Fairly chewy upfront.
Tasty Oktoberfest overall, especially for being 9.1%. Big malt profile with a clean hop bitterness (although a little too floral for me). A big "rough" around the edges and not super smooth. Some aging would probably make this beer amazing.
