A- Cold-hazed, copper color. Nice head from a semi-agressive pour. Drops down to a thin layer. I like so far.
S- Caramel and dry-roasted nuts. Some spice tickels the nose and then some dark fruit sweetness. Hops only tease the nose as they are hard to pin down.
T&M- Where to begin. So many things happen at once here as the malt hits the tongue with some force, thick and rounded with some nice sweetness to it. Caramel malts step up with a spicy, nutty chaser. Some lingering sweetness that is slightly fruity. Very full bodied but leaves a spicy, dry finish that sticks with you. Fo rthe high alcohol, I don't really taste it. Well done.
D- I never got the alcohol kick some have gotten but I was sharing the bottle and it didn't warm to a point that it decided to assert itself. This was a fantastic brew and one I will look for again and maybe cellar for next year.
