Sampled from a 50cl bottle, or 1Pin.9oz
Poured a slightly reddish brown with a big white head that faded all too soon. Each sip leaves wisps of lacing around the glass. Beautiful color and clarity, but the fades way to fast, it was gone in less than 30 seconds.
The first scents are pure candy and candied malt. Hidden deep behind the candy and malt are scents of alcohol and spice. Very inviting, but almost a bit overwhelming in sweetness.
The taste is much like the nose, but not as dominated by candy. The first flavors are definitely dark candy and candied malt then you get hints of wheat, notes of alcohol, and finishes with some slight spice. The spices helps to keep the sweetness from being overwhelming.
The body is medium and finishes fairly clean. The high alcohol is fairly well hidden in the flavor profile, but is noticable on the nose. Very drinkable, but a little to sweet to have 3-4 at a time.
