The color is a nice, clear copper, but there's no head at all.
The nose is sugary and nutty. I detected something that reminded me of peanut butter, and there is also a note of something sort of soy sauce-like, but in a good, fermenty sort of way.
The palate is big and sugary, with hints of butterscotch, peanut butter, toffee, vanilla, and a big dose of alcoholic warmth. The finish is lengthy, and there's just a tease of Campari bitterness in there.
The mouthfeel is creamy and nice, but just a bit more carbonation would be nice. A fine Belgian example of this style would have more and finer bubbles.
However, this is a very tasty beer, well suited to fireside contemplation.
