another enjoyable Avery brew.
pours a dark brown with hints of coppery orange. a half inch head appears and dissipates fairly quick but leaves nice lacing behind.
aromas were hard to pickup but it smelled mostly of malt, sweet and sugary.
Taste was not what i was expecting at first. i got smacked with a huge hit of spice up front then it faded into the caramel malty sweetness with hints of orange peel. as it warmed the spice calmed down a bit and it left a nice warming feeling in th pit of my stomach from the alcohol. its medium to full bodied, smooth, sticky and finishes with a hint of dry.
all in all a fine brew
