Poured into a Chimay goblet. Nice foil top adds class.
Excellent amber orange hue to this beer. Tightly packed head that recedes quickly.
Spicy esters fill your nose as well as anise and white pepper. A little phenolic.
The Reverend is very earthy and the Goldings lend a spicy quality. Almost a tingling sensation on the your lips...In the back there are some over ripe peaches. Complex flavor profile and tons of body!
Nice beer overall although not as deep and complex as the authentic quads. The Reverend is a lighter and fruiter interpretation.
Music enjoyed whilst sampling: Misconceptions by Mealticket.
