appearance: reddish-brown with garnet edges. small off-white head and minimal lacing.
smell: nice and full of toffee. smells big. something that doesn't smell like acohol, but leads you to believe that it's full of it is in there.
taste: mm, chewy sweetness. like a big caramel chew, but carbonated and alcoholic. rich, heavy, full bodied. luscious. finishes with alcohol, but then switches back to really sweet mode. makes you lick your lips and want another taste. taste is like the smell, big, and with that alcohol character. pretty smooth despite it's size.
mouthfeel: nice, bubbly, full, matches very nicely with the flavour.
good stuff. big and balanced, those belgian candy sugars are really outstanding in this brew. even though the high abv, drinkability is pretty good (as they always are...). one of the few quads i have had, and makes me want to seek them out more often.
