This was my departing beer from Denver. Had on tap at Falling Rock.
Pours a crystal golden copper color. Little bit of head, decent lacing throughout the session.
Truckload of hops on the nose. Floral, citrus, exotic fruits.
Even more hoppy awesomeness on the palate of this beer. Mimics the smell, but the floral and fruity hops really take precedence. But don't let that fool you. Incredible malt backbone balances quite well with the hops. Sweet, biscuity tons of malts, tons of hops. It just WORKS. There's no hiding the ABV in this beer either. Not a bad thing, but just be expecting it.
Overall this is a fantastic double IPA. I drink so many Cali hop bombs that it's really nice to drink a double IPA that also showcases its malt profile. Definitely seek this beer out.

This is a very good beer, but I have had better. Maybe I have held on to this one too long, but it was a bit too malty for my taste. Although the bottle promotes the balance and "control" like a raja of both hops and malts. I feel like the malts are too intense for the beer. Well balanced but for the style I would say medium to high ratings.
Color: Dark bronze, but with some transparency, also a very low amount of head and lacing.
Smell: Not as intense as a West Coast IPA. Maybe that is my favorite style?
Taste: Balanced, I got this one on sale for a super deal so I figured I would try it, but I would not pay what the original price reflected.
Overall: A Solid beer, well balanced, not as much hops going on as I would like but its not a bad beer in any regard. But, to me there are much better in the same price range.
