I can't believe I actually found this on tap in Florida. Upon visiting the Dunedin Brewery in the Clearwater area, I needed to do a double take as I stared at the tap handles. $4 for an eight ounce pour. But the bartender bought that round since I am from Colorado. I tipped him generously for the fine gesture.
What a beer. I had this last year at the Brewers Rendevous in Salida, CO. However, I don't remember it being quite this good. Incredible citrus nose and flavor throughout. Huge grapefruit taste and an excellent balance of malt.
Thanks to the World of Beer, in the past week I have had Hercules, 90 Minute, and Stoudts Douple IPA, and I can definitely say that Maharaja is a contender for my favorite Double IPA.
