P: Crystal clear orange copper body with minimal head. Webbed stairs of lacing.
S: Malt heaven opened up and bestowed its sweet goodness in the form of an IPA.
T/M: Robust toasted caramel malts, super sweet backed by a pungent pine resin that aggressively coats the palate. Wood essence and crisp bitters deliver a rustic flare that marries well with the intense malt base. Orange oil and citrus round out the after bite of this giant. Sticky syrupy body with aggressive carbonation. Finishes semi dry and delivers great citrus and pine bitterness.
O: A fantastic BIG beer that delivers everything you want in a DIPA. I almost overlooked this when choosing my beer but glad I didn't. Another hit from Avery.
Serving type: on-tap

Location: Half Time Poughkeepsie
Glassware: Delirium Tremens Tulip
Appearance: Copper to Brown in color with a moderate head on an aggressive pour. The head is lightly browned as well.
Aromatics: The hops hit me as soon as the cap was removed from the bottle. There is a strong pineapple tropical fruit flavor so sweet that it almost smells honeyed. Some malt in the background.
Flavor: That bitterness keeps hitting. Along with a buttery fruit flavor. Some bready malts. I'm getting a lot of flavors from this beer. The mouthfeel is very smooth until the finish.
Finish: The finish keeps a lot of the hop residue along with a boat load of carbonation lingering.
Notes: Sealed in tin foil. Release number 18 2014

Poured from a growler into a tulip
A: Hazy light brown, one-finger head
S: Lots of malt, caramel, toffee followed by grapefruit, pine and tropical fruit underneath. Complex and very pleasant to smell
T: Matches the nose but the hops are more prevalent
M: Full bodied; malty, hoppy, not hot but I can tell the EtOH is there
O: Not the best DIPA I've had but quite tasty and a classic example of the style. I've had this both bottled and on tap and it's far better on tap
Serving type: growler
