on tap at Hunger-n-Thirst, Lancaster, PA
Served in a small snifter
A- clear gold/orange, with a lovely white head on top, some decent lacing for the ABV
S- A sweet mix of hops, orange, grapefruit, mango, passionfruit, some slight hempy/mint notes, and a pine sap.
T- Follows the nose, malt is there, but feint and crackery. A bit hot on the finish from the alcohol, finish is fairly bitter, and it hangs on for awhile.
M- Medium body, slightly syrupy. Dries nicely on the finish.
O- reminds me of a bigger version of Ruination, with slightly more orange/tropical notes. Very good.

This is a very good beer, but I have had better. Maybe I have held on to this one too long, but it was a bit too malty for my taste. Although the bottle promotes the balance and "control" like a raja of both hops and malts. I feel like the malts are too intense for the beer. Well balanced but for the style I would say medium to high ratings.
Color: Dark bronze, but with some transparency, also a very low amount of head and lacing.
Smell: Not as intense as a West Coast IPA. Maybe that is my favorite style?
Taste: Balanced, I got this one on sale for a super deal so I figured I would try it, but I would not pay what the original price reflected.
Overall: A Solid beer, well balanced, not as much hops going on as I would like but its not a bad beer in any regard. But, to me there are much better in the same price range.
