Just wanna say that I am so happy to finally OPEN & review this beer, as the
forces that be have made it unavailable in Oklahoma as of a few
Bomber -> CHOC Rastal Pint
A ~ Poured slowly a cloudy, Rusty-Mahogany-Red that I could not possibly see through. For being almost 2 years old, this still has a pretty intense, sticky-pillow of a head. With some lacing that was pretty difficult to clean out after all was said and done. Visible yeast sediment in glass that I can only assume is from conditioning for so long. Can't wait.
S ~ An astringent & acrid bouquet of fermented apricot, Pomander, Lime Zest, Citrus Peels, and some definite Pine Sol. Chemically, Bitter, Dusty Earth. Super Excited.
T ~ HOPS!!! Spice and Citric Acid hits first. Shocks tounge, then mouth, then throat, teeth & tummy. This is some amazing stuff, straight up hop juice. Aged grapefruit, lemon & mango slathered in tree sap. Less boozy than expected but there is still a definite bite to this one. Almost a cat pee like acridness on the finish. This is one that I am glad I split with friends. Aggressive.
M ~ Attacks mouth in all levels in almost a specific order. Pretty incredible how complex this beer is. Silky smooth bubbles and almost every flavor profile achievable from hops; Spicy, Citric, Earthy, Fruity, Bitter, Piney. ABV comes out more halfway through.
Spicy Hop bomb for sure. Recommendable to any hop head. Wish I had copped more when I had the chance.
I <3 Avery

Tipple's Brews - Gainesville - Release #18, 2014 - 1 pint, 6 oz. Bottle
A - pours a nice orange with two fingers of white bubble head that somewhat quickly dissipated. Carb levels coming up are standard. Nice clarity.
S - Nice citrus notes on nose, has nice earthy qualities to it. Hop presence is forward here. Mildly boozy here.
T - Start is nice and warming. Has a boozy quality there (expected for 10+%). Extremely smooth for being an Imperial. Has a very balance hop and malt profile. The end you get that booziness for sure, but between it is a nice caramel, sweet taste.
M - Medium bodied, quite drinkable. Carbonation is perfect. Smooth, very smooth, no real bite to speak of like you get w/ alot of Imperials.
O - Worth a try. Very nice qualities to it. At the price point, it may not be all that, but for what it is it does not dissapoint.
