Poured into a Sierra Nevada Tulip Glass.
Appearance had a thick, rocky, 2-3 finger, off-white head. Clear, dark copper colored body. Excellent lacing.
Smell was intense. As soon as the bottle was cracked open, the hop aromas came flying out. Floral, citrusy orange and grapefruit aromas a nice mellow sweetness.
Taste was slightly sweet with great caramel flavors. Great balance of sweet and bitter. Light bitterness on the tongue from beginning but finishes fairly strong with grassy, floral and citrus notes. Nice resiny hop profile as well.
Mouthfeel was medium body, slightly sticky, and medium carbonation.
Drinkability was surprisingly good for 10.27%.
Definitely a full and flavorful brew, but it truly is fantastic with the hop aromas and flavors. I could sit and smell it all day long. I will say as it warms up, it becomes slightly more heavy, but still not to point where it is not enjoyable and enticing.

This is a very good beer, but I have had better. Maybe I have held on to this one too long, but it was a bit too malty for my taste. Although the bottle promotes the balance and "control" like a raja of both hops and malts. I feel like the malts are too intense for the beer. Well balanced but for the style I would say medium to high ratings.
Color: Dark bronze, but with some transparency, also a very low amount of head and lacing.
Smell: Not as intense as a West Coast IPA. Maybe that is my favorite style?
Taste: Balanced, I got this one on sale for a super deal so I figured I would try it, but I would not pay what the original price reflected.
Overall: A Solid beer, well balanced, not as much hops going on as I would like but its not a bad beer in any regard. But, to me there are much better in the same price range.
