A - Pours a coppery to gold, with a thick off-white head of three fingers. Fades to a thin layer of foam.
S - Light fruit, flowery hops.
T - Fruity, lots of esters, slight hop flavor. Sweet and malty, but not over powering.
M - Full but not cloying. Slight lingering hop bitterness.
D - Very good, could be real easy to suck down.

Poured on draft at the fabulous Duckworth's on Park Rd, Charlotte, NC.
Pours gold with minimal lacing, initial blush of Belgian candy sugar folds into a lightly malted pale ale. This isn't something I'd seek out - but considering it's 5.2% - it's not a bad session beer. Maybe this is more to the liking of others - but I'm one and done with this brew. Big fan of the brewery though.

Pours a lively amber color with a nice white foam head that dissipates quickly. Leaves a decent amount of lacing around the edge.
Aroma leads with some grassiness and a bit of lemon zest, with a hint of orange. Floral hops. A little bit of roasted malts.
Unfortunately, there's not much going on in the taste. More of the grassiness from the aroma. Wheat. Sugary. Very subdued.
Mouthfeel is extremely thin and watery. Moderate amount of carbonation. Best thing I can say about this one is that it's refreshing.
Overall, A disappointing first experience from a brewery that I've heard good things about. I won't be giving up on Avery just because of this, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this beer.
