Karma pours an absolutely beautiful copper tinged light amber color. It is crystal clear and has a nice white head that fades all too quickly, but the ring of foam that remains leaves pretty mediocre lace.
The aroma is fairly malty for a pale ale, with some nice caramel and sweet bready notes that are spiked with some floral, lemon grass like hop aromas. There is also just a rumor and spicy yeast.
The hops come through a bit more in the flavor, showing off a well balanced floral and slightly grassy mélange that is spiked by just a touch of citrus zest. The malt character strikes me as being just a bit grainy, detracting some from the bready sweetness and caramel. Perhaps it is not even the malt, but the hops and the supposed Belgian yeast? To be honest this does not taste very Belgian at all.
The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium with a fairly lively carbonation that keeps the beer refreshing. The finish is mostly dry, but not overly so. It is definitely the sort of beer that finishes in a way that prepares you for the next sip.
This is a pretty weird brew. I cannot say that I am a huge fan of the hop character and the Belgian aspect seems pretty lost on me. Still, this brew manages to be quite refreshing and is very drinkable.

Pours a lively amber color with a nice white foam head that dissipates quickly. Leaves a decent amount of lacing around the edge.
Aroma leads with some grassiness and a bit of lemon zest, with a hint of orange. Floral hops. A little bit of roasted malts.
Unfortunately, there's not much going on in the taste. More of the grassiness from the aroma. Wheat. Sugary. Very subdued.
Mouthfeel is extremely thin and watery. Moderate amount of carbonation. Best thing I can say about this one is that it's refreshing.
Overall, A disappointing first experience from a brewery that I've heard good things about. I won't be giving up on Avery just because of this, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this beer.
