12 oz can was poured into a pint glass. Heading to Denver next week and hopefully a quick 20 min. ride to Boulder to visit Avery again along with Boulder, Mountain Sun, and Twisted Pine.
Appearance: A nice golden yellow with good clarity. One finger head has started to reduced and leave lacing on the side of the glass. slight signs throughout the glass of carbonation.
Smell: very citrusy. Grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple are up front along with some pine notes. Sweet malts in the rear to balance off the hop aroma a little bit.
Taste: A very nice blend of above ingredients. What a nice treat to come out of a can. The sweet malts are a little more noticeable and the hops are not as crazy as I thought. A little bitterness, but not annoying. Bitterness mellows out within a short period of time.
Mouthfeel: medium carbonation and medium bodied, smooth, and has a dry finish like the can says.
Overall: I have enjoyed this beer from time to time and will enjoy more in the future. Very nice treat and will hoepfully be visiting the brewery again next week. Last years trip to Denver included Boulder and Fort Collins. Boulder is a must for brewery lovers too.
