Wanted to get the cans but as a home brewer I collect bottles
Poured into a tulip.

A- Slightly hazy orange, a finger and a half of white head with lots of big and small bubbles.
S- Smells of glorious dry hops, simcoe and centennial maybe? Not a whole lot of bitterness in the smell but a nice fresh hop presence. There is some good light malts here too.
T- Hop bitterness up front followed by a nice but not extremely strong hop flavoring variety. The hop flavor here is excellent and covers. A good but under powering maltiness around back. A fairly balanced and fresh tasting IPA.
M- This is a very refreshing beer, the bitterness stings the tongue but doesnt make a big deal about it because all its other qualities are in check. Good carbonation, keeps your palate alive and very refreshing.
O- An excellent IPA and one of the best for the money IMO. Will buy again and cant wait to try out other Avery offerings as this is my first of theirs.

Glass: Double old fashioned inward taper
Aging Notes: None
Bang for the Buck (oz*%/$): 72*6.5/10 = 46.8

A: Clarified deep gold brew which pours a white uniform head that laces the glass.

S: Slightly earthy, but predominantly floral hops present. Some yeast detectable.

T: Balanced. Pungent hop bouquet. Pleasant, lingering bitter grapefruit aftertaste.

M: Crisp, thirst-quenching. Very clean finish for such a generously-hopped beer. Nothing bad in the residual.

O: Only lacking in aroma.

Slightly hazy golden yellow. Looks a bit "wheaty".

Citrus hop aroma with undertones of caramel and citrus peels. Somewhat muted.

Grapefruit bitterness offset with smooth caramel and molasses. Hints of spices, oranges, toast and lemon peel. A bit grainy but with good balance.

Fizzy but refreshing. Mild for an IPA but enjoyable. Definitely a stronger fruit character than expected.
