Poured from a 12-oz. bottle into my Terrapin pint glass.
Appearance: Black with a one-finger brown head. Very good retention.
Smell: Dark chocolate and roasted malts with some alcohol underneath.
Taste: Exactly like the smell suggests, but with even more alcohol. This is a very 'warm' beer. I'll have to drink this during winter. A good hearty stout!
Mouthfeel: Thick and creamy, typical of the style.
Drinkability: Man, how do I rate this? This is the strongest beer I've ever had, and the alcohol wastes no time getting to me. This is a great beer, but in order for me to knock back more than one of these, I'd need to bolster my alcohol tolerance. Still, really excellent. A hell of a good beer.
