Just poured the beer into a Bruery snifter. Will rate as I go.
Hits and fills the glass in a thick, dark brown stream of ale. The head is very small, forming like a spinning light brown vortex in the center of this pool of liquid, never achieving any head height at all. Medium sour malty scent evident.
First taste: coffee, carmel, slightly sweet malt. Second taste, same with a distinct sour finish.
Put the glass down and came back 15 minutes later. First quaff, the malt sweetness was now first in line followed by the catoffee and a touch of hoppy bitterness. A deeper draught and quick swallow brought forward a primary sense of sourness along the sides of my tongue.
Not sure if I'd repeat, but it's certainly a complex and interesting beer.
