12 oz bottle with no freshness dating, but it did have a blurb about being "Lab Tested"... Get it? Lab tested?? Moving on. Poured into a Bruery tulip.
A - Very dark mahogany, almost black, light tan head is dense, good retention/lacing.
S - Chocolate, walnuts, wet moss, hint of sweet and smoky.
T - Burnt caramels, bittersweet chocolate, nutty, woody with a bit of spicy hop flavor. Malty to the core, but not overly sweet.
M - Medium-light bodied, good carbonation, a bit of a nutty aftertaste.
D - High. Lower ABV, and a malty but not cloying Brown Ale from Avery.
