Poured a nice ruby orange with a decent off white head that was slow to diminish and left great lacing on the glass. The aroma is dominated by a good citrus hoppiness with a slight caramel malt backbone. The taste is a good hop blend with citrus hops slightly overpowering a touch of earthy piney hops. There is a decent caramel malt backbone that shows its presence but lets the hops shine through. The beer was light on the palate and the carbonation was just not overpowering at all. This is one of my absolute favorite red ales, probably because it borders on IPA territory.
