Pours a gorgeous golden orange color with a chunky, sticky, slightly orange-yellow head. Very few bubbles can be seen ascending through the beer. Very inviting nose with aromas of fruity Belgian malt and spicy hops. As it warmed the fruit came more into focus. Candy sweet up front followed by spicy alcohol and pumpkin and finishes a tiny bit drier with the emphasis on peppery hops and dehydrated mango. This was a pretty bull bodied beer with a slick mouth feel and petite carbonation. The alcohol certainly played a huge part in the flavor profile of the beer, yet there were no discouraging retro nasal fumes or off flavors. If this beer were distributed in my area I would certainly get it again. Thanks to TXHops.

Pours a bright golden orange that is pleasingly cloudy with a good one-inch beige head that is super creamy but eventually settles to a film. Okay retention; good sloppy lacing.
Orange creamsicle with a big yeast smell and spicy phenols.
Crisp and dry. Lots of bitter orange and a yeasty backbone. Some rich hop flavors rise at the end and take a while to leave you. All-in-all, very tasty.
Crisp and almost-chewy. Medium body and creamy carbonation.
I was not expecting much from a Belgian Style, but this is quite good. First, it is not filtered (like other "Belgian" beers I have had from Avery) and is quite nice to look at. Second the smell and taste are pretty in sync, giving a good profile of the yeast with a lot of good hops at the finish. The yeast gets a little chalky as you work your way through it, but other than that, it is quite good.
Would have again; worth trying if you're around it.
