A - Deep amber color; slightly cloudy but not much. ¼ inch head thins out quickly. Swirling revives a thin layer throughout. Splotchy lacing.
S - Nice display of pungent pine hop aroma. A bit juicy with some citrus & floral undertones. Hints of sweet bread rounds it out. Something in here portends a murkiness could follow.
T - Big pine bitterness hits upfront & is pretty consistent from start to finish. Pine seems to dominate this one. Hints of floral hops but not much in the way of citrus. It is murky, indeed, which I think helps relegate the malts to a supportive (almost negligible) role. Dark breads & hint of sweetness blend in nicely.
M - Rather full-bodied for an IPA. Carbonation is decently zesty; it seems lower though, as the carbonation appears to be working overtime to keep up with the weight of the beer. It's plenty resinous with ample grit. Seamless transition from liquid to lingering bitterness - bold & of great duration. Most excellent.
D - On the whole it's pretty good. Some aspects are better than others, but it's solid. One is sufficient for me. The bottle suggests a "divine hop experience." It's a hop experience for true. Divine? Maybe not so much.
