Appearance: Poured out of a bottle with no freshness date. Pours a nice copper orange with a massive off white head. Head sticks around for a long time. Decent lacing.
Smell: Piney and citrusy hops, sweet malt. Very dank and then the aroma finishes sweet.
Taste: Sweet fruity hops, pine, bite of alcohol, bitter hops and a good sweet malt backbone to balance it out. As it warms more tropical fruits complement the sweet malt finish. As it warms even more, a lot of piney, resiny dankness comes through and then clashes with the sweet malt and alcohol bite that gets stronger as well.
Feel: Big beer feel. Full bodied with the higher alcohol content.
Overall: A solid well balanced imperial IPA. A sweet malt finish balances out the strong hops. A little more sweet than a lot of big IPAs.
