Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Bruery tulip. 8/30/11 bottling date.
A - Clear burnt orange color. Light tan head leaves decent lacing.
S - Mango, pineapple, a little grapefruit. Smells is really pungent and stands out.
T - Mango, pineapple, and a hint of peach. Again like the smell, these flavors are really bold. There is a little malt sweetness in the middle (very little). It the dries out a lot to big bitterness. The bitterness is a little off-putting until your palate numbs enough to not notice it so much.
M - Medium carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Just enough viscosity to fit with the taste level of this beer.
D - Medium low. Bold flavors and ABV make this a sipper.
Really good beer. It shocks your palate with bitterness at first, but once it adjusts you get all the nice tropical fruit flavors from the hops.
