Poured from the bomber into a Piraat tulip glass... This ale pours a cloudy, coppery orange with a big, fluffy eggshell white head. Sheets of lace are left on the glass as this lupulin beauty is consumed. Aroma is dominated by piney hops - but there are also hints of peach and pineapple; a touch of caramel sweetness is in the nose, as well. Taste... Piney, resinous hops up front - I also get some pepper and earthiness in the hop profile. A light note of breadiness along with some caramel malt make an effort to provide some balance to this hop-lover's delight! Mouthfeel is creamy and medium to full-bodied - it's also a touch oily. It's a delicious IPA. Personally, I usually prefer citrus hoppiness to the piney hoppiness, but not the case for this brew - it's super enjoyable and may be my favorite of Avery's great offerings (it definitely is satisfying my hop craving)!
