"a contemporary rendition of a classic style. Hopped with purpose, Joe's is beautifully bitter and dry with an abundance of floral, Noble German hops. Uber-sessionable. Utterly American. This is Premium American Pilsner."

Whoah, Joe. This is a very light colored lager - like macro-light-colored. Pale yellow. White fizzy head. Like looking at a mug of draft bud light.
But there the worries end. First a sharp stab of steely hop aroma with some sulfur, then you taste the earthy-metallic, lemony, soapy hop flavor.
Light bodied, prickly carbonation, decidedly sharp bitter hop biting finish.
For fans of Tuppers Hop Pocket pils and Sam Adams Noble Pils.

From notes 11/9/12: Pours a clear pale straw producing 2 fingers of foamy, moderately lasting white heat that leaves pasty streaks of lacing. Aroma is Noble hops heavy with pilsner malt biscuit and cracker and a hint of sweet grain. Taste is fronted by floral, grassy and lemon hop notes backed by grains, biscuit and yeasty fruitiness; it finishes lightly dry, crisp and a little bitter with a faint mineral hint. Aftertaste is lemony, slightly bitter with the mineral from the finish being present and more prominent. Mouthfeel is light bodied, average carbonation, crisp, lightly dry, smooth but a little thin and quite drinkable.

12oz can into a pint glass. canned 4/19/17, so about a year old.
pale lemon yellow body, slightly hazy. big bright bubbly head leaving very good lacing.
only a very faint malt aroma.
odd tasting beer. all the flavors are muted. faintly bitter, a little touch of grapefruit. quite clean tasting, except in the finish.
mouth around medium, finish slightly sour.
overall, an interesting tasting beer, but not likely i would seek this out again.

L: Bubbly clear straw with a touch of chill haze, crowned by an enormous, rocky, pure white head. Excellent retention and sheets of lacing.
S: Chewy dough, white bread, grass, lemon pith, white pepper, cucumber/underripe honeydew melon.
T: Very doughy, like eating raw dough, as the baseline. Lively and zingy with fresh grassy hops, enticing lemon and honeydew melon hints, and a little bit of white pepper and basil. Slightly mineraly and metallic tasting, but not offensive. Finishes crisp and mostly clean--save for a lingering doughy taste--with some lingering grassy bitterness.
F: Fairly ligh-bodied, but the bubbly, fizzing carbonation makes it feel full in the mouth. Rolls quickly across the palate with a pushing sensation.
O: Even at four months, this is a solid, hoppy pilsner. Very enjoyable. I'd love to revisit fresher, if possible.

$ 2.11 (Including tax)/12 oz can ($ 0.176/oz) at Oppermann’s, Saginaw, MI.
Canned 5/1/16 (Sorry I missed your birthday!). Stored and served at 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Aroma – flowery and kind of salty, like a gose. Fades.
Head - When the can was opened there was a fountain of beer. What was left in the can gave a small head (Maximum 1.4 cm, aggressive pour), white, low density, short retention, diminishing to a two mm ring and a thin, scummy looking layer.
Lacing – poor and spotty. An occasional irregular tiny island with tiny bubbles.
Body – light yellow, hazy.
Flavor – Unremarkable. Slightly bitter with a bit of floral. No malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl. Very sessionable but the nondescript flavor certainly is not reason to drink more than one.
Palate – light, watery, lively carbonation.
Appearance 2 (Because of foaming over), Aroma 3, Flavor 3, Palate 3.5, Overall 3.
