12oz can, from a grocery store across from my hotel in mid-town Denver. "Utterly American", yet made with imported German hops and yeast. OK.
This beer pours a clear, very pale golden straw colour, with three fingers of puffy, foamy, and mildly creamy off-white head, which leaves some stellar layered melting cloud lace around the glass as things drop away.
It smells of gritty, grainy pale malt, a bit of stale lemon juice, white pepper, and earthy, leafy, and grassy hops. The taste is more crackery, slightly bready pale grainy malt, a touch of orange and lemon rind, a mild dose of petrol, and a slight rearrangement of leafy, earthy, musty, and grassy noble hops.
The bubbles are a tad edgy, and just perfect enough for the style, the body on the lee side of medium weight, and mostly smooth, contending with a small clammy pithiness. It finishes off-dry, barely, as the grainy pale cereal malt bleeds out, amongst some lingering lemon and peppery notes.
A tasty, pilsner-esque (I wonder why) pale lager, flavourful, and easy to put back in numbers, I presume. Just a bit of astringent gasohol (despite the low ABV) does well to bolster this impression, as well as pour water on this whole American concept of claiming ideas as their own.

A- Very pale straw colored body with crystal-clear transparency. Lots of big carbonation bubbles throughout the body, which sits under a sticky and frothy bone-white head.
S- Lots of pilsner malts, fresh grass, dried grass, dash of citrus.
T- Lots of pilsner malt comes through giving this one big flavor for a very light beer. Noble hop flavors provide lots of bitter, grassy notes with hints of citrus.
M- Light, refreshing, somewhat sticky, medium carbonation.
O- Pretty good take on a pilsner, I could definitely knock a few of these out.
