A: Slightly cloudy orange-copper with a thin caramel head that just barely rims the glass. the head disappears after a few minutes but there is still a bit of carbonation throughout.
S: Potent! Tons of rum up front with a definite pumpkin body. Getting rum, pumpkin, cloe, cinnamon, booze, various spices you would find in a pumpkin pie, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, hints of oak and barrel, and more rum. Sort of have to waft it because if you put your nose too close to the glass it stings the nostrils like a liquor!
T: This thing is a beast! Getting dark rum, toffee, caramel, pumpkin, cinnamon, almost a nutty pecan like taste, vanilla, spice, oak, raisin paste, more toffee, fig, dark rum, and graham crackers soaked in rum. Super complex flavors that feels like it is just toying with your tongue. Taste like pumpkin pie your uncle split his rum all over!
M: Easily one of the most full bodied beers i have ever had. It's sticky sweet and thick. Syrupy but not overly so. the closest thing i can compare it to is a barley wine. Like nothing i have really had. The booze is definitely there at the back of the throat but enjoyably so. Warms the whole body. Look up sipper in the dictionary and there is a picture of this beer.
O: One wild ride of a beer. It is thick, deep, and complex in every area. I have to give Avery some respect for making this so drinkable for how big this beer is. It is also pretty amazing just how much pumpkin and spice cuts through the booze and rum. Artfully done and like nothing else on the market. The taste is a bit muddled and maybe a bit overly sweet but with that being said I would not hesitate to pick another up for a special occasion like Thanksgiving dinner! Sit down strap in and let rumpkin take you on the outer bounds of what beer is!
