This beer pours a very hazy pale gold with a large dissipating head. Tart pasionfruit and lemon come through strongly on the aroma, followed by bread yeast, orange peel, clove, coriander, ginger, and tangerine juice. The flavor leads with very pleasant yeasty, biscuit flavors, orange and lemon peel, and finished with a slightly sour passionfruit and tangerine flavor. The mouthfeel is light and fizzy with a touch of softness. Overall this is a stunningly impressive beer, with is hard to accomplish with a Wit.

This is the absolute perfect summer beer.

The appearance is inviting with a hazy, unfiltered orange golden color with a creamy white head.

The aroma is insane. Tropical fruits galore. Passion fruit, juicy fruit gum, orange, mango, strawberry, kiwi, peach, bubblegum, banana.

Taste mirrors the nose with a slight wheat beer yeasty character and more passionfruit.

This is like putting a tropical fruit drink you get on the beach in a can. It's one of my favorite beers of 2015 and it's refreshing as hell. Buy a case.

For a witbier, this is a phenomenal and unique interpretation that feels reverent to the classics while fresh, interesting, and new. Pours an absolutely gorgeous lightly hazy golden yellow with A two finger white head made of medium sized bubbles. Aromas and flavors are of passion fruit juice, tropical punch, delicate wheats, and sweet angel food cake with a hint of tartness. Some dry grassiness, doughy malt, and complex spiciness underneath. Creamy, light mouthfeel. Next to Allagash White, this is an absolute knockout of the style while being completely different from that equally classic ale.

Liliko'i Kepolo - Avery Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a snifter, this brew's head is three fingers thick, with web-like lacing, and a hazy medium-light golden body.

Smells like the passion-fruit used right off the bat. Nothing too sweet or syrupy judging just the aroma. I also smell an earth-like malt complex bringing up the rear to add more of a backbone to this potentially gimmicky beverage. Let's see how it tastes, shall we?

I taste a nice helping of the passion fruit, but its sweetness does not digress from the other complexities of this beer. Those being mouth-watering-ly juicy West Coast style hops, along with that malt profile I'd mentioned in the taste. All in all, a great balance.

The mouthfeel I'm getting here is smooth, clean, and quenching. Fair carbonation, too.

Overall, I'll award Liliko'i Kepolo - Avery Brewing Company with a 4.75. I was skeptical at first, as I see mosr of my fellow BA's were also, due the fruit flavoring. But I can honestly say it doesn't shy away form the rest of what the brew has to offer, which is quite a bit in comparison to others within this style. I would recommend this in the summer months, even though I'm reviewing it on V-Day 2016. This is hitting the spot even in cold Ohio winter weather. I can imagine how heavenly this will be when its 85 and over 50% humidity. Pick it up regardless of what time of year you're in, you will be instantly transported to a sunny beach.

Absolutely LOVE this beer. One of my summer go-to's, so crisp and refreshing. Tons of passionfruit on the nose and it explodes with passionfruit, citrus, some spiciness and zest with just enough tartness to balance it all out. It's so insanely crushable, easily my favorite witbier and I'm super bummed its not a year round offering

pours a bright yellow color with little to no head. the beer leaves an excellent lacing in glass. you can smell the tart and sour tropical fruit from the time you open the can. tastes awesome, has just the right amount of tartness without being overpowering. a very drinkable beer that is highly underrated. a world class brew in my book.

The beer bursts out of the glass of tropical fruit. It's straight Tropicana mango, orange, and pineapple juice with a wheaty base and finish.

The aromatics on this are incredible and fruit flavors on the palate follow quite well. On tap, it reminds me of a Funky Buddha beer with its absurd aroma.

This is pretty much my all time favorite Witbier. It smells amazing, passion fruit to the max. The taste totally backs it up. So balanced. A little tart, some dryness to balance out the sweetness. My only complaint is the cost and the availability. If they can figure out a way to do this year round or at least half the year and package it in 6 pack form for $11.99 (4 pack is steep at that price for a 5.2% beer...) I would drink this all summer long and make it a staple.

Fantastic beer, floating around in the pool with this is a great summer florida day. Lovely smell, smooth mouth feel, but the star is the taste as it should be. Perfect balance of tart with the spices and sweetness from the passion fruit. This was a big hit with everyone who usually hate any of the craft I drink. This and otra vez are gonna be staples to get me through the summer on 100 degree, humid days

Poured from a can into a stem glass.

Hazy yellow gold with loads of crisp visible carbonation a finger of fluffy white head.
Smells of passion fruit juice, wheat, lemon, pretzel dough, coriander, grass, and white pepper.
The taste starts off with a huge blast of sweet passion fruit juice. Tangy notes of oranges, grapefruit, and pineapple take over the middle. A pillow of light white dough and crackers to hold it up. Finishes tart with lemon, more passion fruit, and wheat. The aftertaste, especially in belches, tastes like estery banana and clove.
Awesome mouthfeel on this one, too. Medium-light, but insanely juicy and creamy. Drinkability is extreme. I can't hardly even set the glass down.

This is far and away the best wheat beer I've had so far. The passion fruit taste is authentic and refreshing, and the juiciness and fruitiness is fantastic as well. Buy this!!!

Look: Orangeish with a bit of a head. I had it on tap and out of the can, there wasn't much of a difference here.

Aroma: Fruity and a bit sour. Mostly fruity, of course.

Taste: One of my favorite tasting beers I've had all Spring/Summer. It's refreshing and bright.

Feel: Smooth and easy drinking beer for the hot days of Summer.

Had this on draft at the Avery brewing facility in Boulder. The smell and taste combination with the wonderful fruit made this as unique as it was good. Not overbearing fruit, however. This would be an amazing summer beer! He use of the Belgian yeast was also great.

Liliko'i Kepolo brewed by Avery brewing company, with and ABV of 5.60% This brew pours out a cloudy amber color with a small white head. This brew has a nice look to it. Liliko'i Kepolo is an unfiltered brew, you can not see though this brew. The smell of Liliko'i Kepolo is rich with citrus , grains, malts, and hops. Thanks so much to my brother Tim for sharing this with me pre-FNM show, enjoyed chilled from the can in a goblet.

The color is golden with light hazed thick white head with very fine bead. The smell has lots of tropical presence -Pure Passionfruit with strong fruit in the nose and mild wheat accent with subtle sweet aroma. The feel is great with tons of fruity texture with a mild tropical taste with juicy and semi-tangy sweet fruity textures with semi-dry finish with moderate carbonation.

The taste has great passionfruit flavor -like you just cut one open and dropped it into the beer with slight tangy juicy tropical quality that is sweet yet the malt flavor of wheat adds depth with a light malt backing to soften the acidity of the fruit slightly with a semi-dry lightly sour finish of yeast. Overall I loved how the fruit dominates this a great tropical wheat -the wit yeast is a perfect fit for the passionfruit, one of the best fruited wheat beers with a ton of passionfruit in the flavor, not just aroma. This is almost Hawaiian-punch like, it is so tangy and juicy you want more after it is gone.

Look: Cloudy, thick, off yellow color.

Smell: Passion fruit up front hint of sweet smells and wheat.

Taste: Not what I expected. Not so much wheat but you get the spices and passion fruit.

Feel: Felt like a tart saison or even a sour. No where remotely close to a wheat which for me was a good thing.

Overall: Super tasty beer loved it!

Really successful, soft-touch deployment of passionfruit to impart this wit with a fresh, punchy, hop-grassy tropical buoyancy. Beautiful, bright nose, bright; dry, sparkling flaxen color; extremely smooth, pleasant, light mouthfeel. Just a clean, lean yet well-structured and sophisticated, super refreshing, tiki-tilting wheat offering—and a pretty perfect hangover beer to boot.

Poured in a pint glass for review purposes, would recommend drinking it from the can. Light foam, cloudy, darker than usual for wit beer.
Very fruity nose, extends to taste, also sharply tart. Super refreshing, one of the beers I was happiest to discover this summer.

On tap at Avery. Pours a slightly-hazed yellow-straw color. Light passion fruit. Quite fruity. Subtle, but absolutely there. Delicious. Super drinkable; had to get a second glass of this one.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a very hazy yellowish orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid finger of white head which settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A very juicy and fairly sweet aroma with a big scent of citrus fruits along with some spice. Huge upfront scent of passion fruit along with other tropical hints of mango, pineapple, orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, and grapes. Belgian yeast with some hints of pepper. Malt hints of wheat, cracker, grains. A very good fruity aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and sweet taste with notes of citrus fruit and Belgian style spice. Big juicy tropical fruit taste with notes of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, orange, lemon, grapes, and peach. Belgian yeast with some notes of white pepper and slight funk. Malt notes of cracker, wheat, and grains. A really good juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Nicely crisp, juicy, and very smooth.

Overall: A very good twist on a Witbier. The added tropical fruit goes great with the wheat.

Cloudy but vibrant appearance. Hard pour down the center of the glass (as 90% of beers should be poured!) produced a 2"head.

Aroma jumps out and fills the vicinity. Reminds me of the cans or cups of mixed fruit cocktails when I was a kid that had peaches, pineapple, grapes, and those abnormally red cherries.

I don't know what passion fruit tastes like, but taste is similar to aroma with pineapple standing out the most followed by peach. Very intense. Traditional wit character is almost undetectable, and I couldn't care less. Mellow fruit at first that takes on an acidic and salty tang as it goes down.

Mouthfeel is perfect for what this is.

I'd swear this was a properly carbonated 50/50 mix of beer and fruit juice, and I'm not complaining. And maybe it is, because the only thing I don't like about it is the $11.49 / 4-pack price.

Can purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY.

This pours a hazy, cloudy, and vibrant orange color, with a one inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

This smells like passionfruit, with tart wheat, grapefruit, and pineapple. Just smells like an absolutely fruity juice bomb.

This is definitely one of the best witbiers I've ever had. It's got a killer passionfruit character to it, mostly sweet, but just a tiny bit tart, with some bready sweetness, grapefruit, and a crisp finishing bite that's very typical of a good witbier, for me.

This is light bodied, with a juicy as hell mouthfeel, and a crisp level of carbonation.

A really nicely well done beer, in a style that hasn't wowed me lately.

On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Hazy to cloudy opacity with a fine textured head that goes quickly. Aroma is a bit funky in an interesting & good way, exotic, i guess is the word. Flavor is well balanced with the fruit on the wheat beer. Very refreshing. Now for a second with lunch.

Appearance: Pale yellow, must be unfiltered because you can't see through the glass. A vigorous pour from my growler resulted inch 3 inch head.

Smell: Classic smell for a witbier, definitely getting grapefruit. Smell is inviting.

Taste: Nice taste with citrus, it has a very refreshing taste which is what you expect.

Mouthfeel: Lighter body with medium-high carbonation.

Overall: A great and refreshing witbier. Reminds me that I don't need to drink IPA's endlessly. Great for a warm weather drink. Worth a try if you like this style.

L: Poured from a can to a pint glass. Had a yellow-orange color and a cloudy texture. There was an inch of creamy head that lasted a fair amount of time. Below average lacing.

S: A big, fruity aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and spices.

T: Tasted of passion fruit, orange, lemon, light banana notes, malt, a bit of mango, pepper, some yeast, and coriander. Obviously, this is a fruit-centric flavor, but this is a good thing. The taste is light, vibrant, and slightly funky.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a somewhat slick finish. Light-bodied.

O: This is a beer that's easy to drink and flavorful. It won't please everyone (especially if you're not keen on fruity beers), but it works surprisingly well. Not a classic witbier, but tasty nonetheless.
