Review from notes last week of a 12 oz bottle bottled 02/11/11.
A: Slightly cloudy burnt orange/red, cream collar and film and lacing.
S: Oaky cabernet, musty, cranberry, caramel... OK.
T: Slightly over-acidic, but otherwise balanced. Lemon finish, dark candi sugar, grape juice, and a sticky sweetness that stays on your teeth.
M: Thin and bubbly like champagne, it is crisp and sticky.
O: Nothin mind-blowing, but good nonetheless. I probably won't get another bottle, but I might try it on tap if the occasion arises.

On tap for Churchill's Renaissance 2013 at Churchill's Pub & Grille in San Marcos, CA.
Pours a hazy copper with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with some fruity and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with a sour fruity flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some nice sour flavors that make it easy to drink.
