In reading some of the other reviews of this beer, I wonder if I'm drinking the same brew that everyone else is. I found this beer to be quite tasty, and right on style for an ESB.
Pours a clear copper with a very persistent head that leaves quite a bit of lace. Aroma is a mix of biscuity malt and pine cones... raw hops at their finest. Flavor begins with some sweet malt... bread... and a balancing and lingering bitterness. There is also a juicy hop flavor... floral and earthy, with a touch of pine mixed in. Mouthfeel is maybe a bit light for the style, with medium carbonation. This is one of my new favorites as far as ESB's go. Keep up the good work Avery!
