A: Impenetrable black, viscous, syrupy. Impressively tenacious chestnut colored head. Very appealing looking beer.
S: Oozing dark chocolate toffee bomb, slightly nutty, smooth oak throughout, vanilla marshmallow. More dark fruit than BCBS or Eclipse. Hardly any booze on the nose, very impressive. I can't take my nose out the glass. I might just smell it all night.
T: Sweet bourbon-soaked malts, cocoa powder, echoes of the aroma. Not a lot of booze flavor, but rest assured this is one extremely warming beer. Happy belly. Finishes with long lingering barrel character.
M: Very syrupy and sticky - what do you expect? A slow sipper, the small bottle is a 3hr event.
Fantastic stout, I wish I had more of these to lay down.
