Received numerous bottles of this from trades and bottle shop pickups. Poured into a Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a deep deep brownish black hue with a nice deep mocha one finger head that fades to leave a very, very thin blanket along the top. VERY impressive for the ABV, very impressive.
S - Surprisingly and shockingly the alcohol is very, very nicely hidden in this. There are some very nice light bourbon and light vanilla and even some coconut. Getting some dark fruits, which I'm not really a fan of.
T - Strong bourbon heat upfront but that is shockingly overtaken by big vanilla and chocolate. ALOT of chocolate. Dark fruits on the finish but its quickly overtaken by some sweetish bourbon and vanilla. Some really, really nice flavours here. Still hot, but that should change over time. Huge chocolate aftertaste.
M - Mouthfeel is great all things considered. That alcohol needs to cool down a bit with age. Its silky smooth though.
O - Overall I enjoyed this beer alot. I think it needs some time to develop into that next step. Glad I've got 6 more to let sit for a while, I think this has potential to become something amazing.
