Had this on 2013-08-01 in Columbia, PA from a Brauler acquired from The Fridge.
A - Fairly clear orange-amber with a 20finger off-white head that drops to 1/3-finger quickly but leaves sheets of lacing.
S - Very inviting aromas of very ripe pineapple, moderate dankness, pine and sweet pale malt.
T - Sweet malt, orange and pineapple flesh give way to a good amount of orange zest bitterness. There's a bit of pepper and plenty of crushed hop cone goodness. Moderate alcohol flavor. Finishes pretty dry considering how sweet it starts and the citric tartness and zesty bitterness last long into the finish.
M - Thick body and light-medium carbonation. Chewy, slick, resinous and prickly; all good by me.
O - This a really nice DIPA. l like it better than their Maharaja or DuganA. Glad I got a growler.
Note, the Brauler is a new stainless steel growler with a valve in the top of the cap to let you charge it with CO2 after the initial serving. I had a glass a day for four days in a row and the ability to recharge each time with CO2 preserved the aroma and flavor. There was no oxidation.

Bottled last May 13th 2013. On sale and I've wanted to try this so I took a chance.
Poured from the 22 oz. bottle into a stemmed tulip glass.
a: Nearly clear dark gold with a frothy two inch head which receded to rocky surface foam and patterned lacing.
s: Moderate pine and orange.
t: Oily smoothness with heavy body, then the hops bite. Citrus aftertaste with some bitterness on the tongue. The nearly 10% ABV seems amazingly well covered, virtually no throat burn.
m: Very silky smooth, Heavier than it looks, substantial body, which is part of its charm.
o: A sexy, tasty DIPA, still strong on hop bite despite its age. Perfect DIPA for the Fall and winter months. I was afraid this would not be so good after the months on it, but it was great.
