Poured into an impy nonic a clear medium golden with a large blooming one and a half finger white head atop that left multiple rings of broken chunks behind as it settled.Caramel malts and tropical fruits in the nose, sweet but not overly so.I like the full almost airy feel in the mouth,it went down nicely.Flavors of grilled pineapple and citrus with a tinge of vidalia onion the is a little off putting at first but doesn't overpower like another Colorado brewed beer wich I won't name. It's sweet but not nearly as sweet as way to many of the style,a worthy anniversary beer from a solid brewery.

A: Pours a golden yellow with two fingers of white head that fades into a thin cap with good lacing.

S: Lots of sweet citrus on the nose: pineapple, oranges, nectarines, peaches, and a bit of melon. A lovely bouquet of tropical hops.

T: Tropical citrus here as well with flavors of pineapple, oranges, and slight notes of melons. Earthier flavors kick in toward the finish with grapefruit and pine. The finish is lightly bitter.

M: Medium body and carbonation, this beer avoids being too oily or watery feeling.

O: A surprisingly good DIPA. The aroma on it is great and I wish the flavor had a little bit of the tropical bouquet that the nose had. Still, it's tasty and drinkable despite its high abv with a wonderful nose.

Floral, grass, some pineapple and light tropical fruit astringency. Sweet pink grapefruit in the background along with some pine and very, very slight resin stickiness. Very noticeable breadiness and biscuit sweetness. Really nice DIPA - not very aggressive, but well balanced and big on the floral, grass, and light-fruit sweetness.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in May 2013. Pours slightly hazy pale golden orange color with a 2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, orange zest, lemon zest, mango, peach, floral, grass, honey, light caramel, light pine, and floral earthiness. Incredible aromas with huge complexity of tropical/citrus hops with a moderate malt balance; and big strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, mango, grapefruit, peach, floral, grass, honey, light caramel, light pine, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of tropical bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus peel, pineapple, mango, peach, floral, grass, honey, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity of citrus and tropical hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance that doesn’t overpower hop flavors; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, fairly crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an incredible DIPA! Big complexity of citrus and tropical hop flavors, with a moderate malt balance; and very smooth to sip on for 9.7%. A highly enjoyable offering.

A: Poured sordove an oily and dark yellowish meets burnt orange color. It presents a nice white fluffy cap and solid head retention. A good amount of lacing persists sip after sip...

S: Sordove dank upfront but then its covered up by some sweet malt, breadiness and whiff of caramel covered pine cones and tropical fruits.

T: The first thing I notice is the malt bill on this with a blend of caramel and toasted bread which is needed for this hop bomb. A tad slick upfront worth big notes of pine, citrus in the way of grapefruit and orange peel and tropical fruits(mango, some pineapple). It is a little slick which shows up on the back end. The booze is not that pungent but noticeable. Bitterness is moderate for me.

M: A big, hearty IIPA this is. Well carbonated and chewy. Some oil sits on the palate. A little bit of syrup and sweetness as well.

O: I prefer it over Maharaja and maybe over DuganA. It was a big chewy hop bomb with loads of flavor. I would drink this again!
