Big thanks to Smoked for hooking me up with this shortly after its release. Drank recently after 2 years in the cellar. 12oz bottle into a matching tulip shaped Avery tour pint glass. The brew is a dark cola brown with a dark khaki head that fizzles. All across the top of the brew are white chunks of coconut flesh.
Aroma is very sugary with chocolate, raisony booze and a perfume-like coconut essence. Taste is exceptionally sweet and sugary with mild vanilla and coconut upfront and raisons and chocolate across the back. As it warms up, a little hint of licorice and the booze becomes solvent with faint nutty aftertaste.
Full body with ample carbonation. The 17% alcohol is masked fairly well behind the huge sweetness. However, that same sticky sweetness crushes the nuance of the beer itself. Aged in rum barrels? You would never know.

Sweetest beer ever. Not as full as you'd expect.
