A 12oz can into a Duvel Tulip. Logo is pretty kick-ass.
Real aggressive pour yields two fingers of thick white head that lingers around for a bit. Decent amount of lace is left behind as the froth slowly dissipates from atop a deep golden orange brew. I can tell just from looking at it, this is going to be super citrusy.
Nose has some serious orange peel with just a faint hint of grassy hops and moderate coriander spice. Pretty standard for the style, but could use a bit more balance.
Tastes just as advertised. A lot of orange and lemon citrus up front with complementary spice. Slight hop bitterness comes through in the end, leaving a nice dry sweetness on the palate. Alcohol is also a bit more noticeable within this wit as compared to others. However that should be a given since it clocks in at 5.6%, compared to the average 4.5-ish%.
Medium bodied with slight carbonation. Crisp and refreshing, I could pound these all day.
Overall, this isn't the best example of the style out there, but at around $10 for a six pack, you can't really go wrong. Not a groundbreaking beer, but an outstanding value.
