I don't get to visit good bottle shops until I travel. But when I do travel, I make sure to hit one or two shops. On this occasion, my plan was to visit two.

Bottles & Cans was my first stop. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by one of the owners, Carly. She was very friendly and helpful throughout the short time I spent there. Also, she was highly perceptive and stated upon entering, "Didn't you just follow us on Facebook". It was like walking into the Cheers Bar and being Norm! Even if she blatantly stated that she is a Facebook stalker!

The selection was outstanding, but this could be due to not being able to find many of these beers at my local shops. There is a large selection of local craft from Michigan, Ohio, and the Chicago area. The store is very clean and bright, which is something I look for in a store. Nobody wants to buy their beer in a dungeon that smells musty!

Finally, upon checking out a rep from Pipeworks had stop by for a drop off and was able to meet and exchange short conversation with him. At one point, Carly disappeared into the back before completing my check-out, which I thought was odd but maybe she needed to show the guy where to put the boxes. I was floored when she returned to the front of the store with a bottle of beer just brought in from an Ohio brewery that I had not heard of and presented the beer to us as a gift.

Overall, this place is truly world-class and I will be visiting again upon my next trip to Chicago! Prost! Wish I lived closer to these fine folks.
