Upscale wood-fired pizza joint with an above average rotating tap list. Small bar room to the right of the entry has an inverted L-shaped bar that seats about 10 with a few small round tables in center of room. There is a dining room on the left with about a dozen tables. 10 assorted craft beers half are often foreign offerings. The pizza is excellent but the prices are quite high.

The wife and I are staying in the Danbury area and it's been hard to find a good beer joint around here... funny enough, only after a couple of days did I find about Stanziato's, which is not far from the hotel and the interstate highway.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is real nice inside, with the oven and the kitchen as you enter and then the bar. Very warm all around, sort of rustic-meets-hipster-meets-suburbs, tastefully done.

They have 10 taps at the bar (not just 4 like the BA listing says), and they are all good and weird: Off Color Fierce, Overshores Simpel, Petrus Aged, Ayinger Jahrhundert, Leipziger Gose, Evil Twin Justin Blieber, Dogfish 90, OEC Solaris... all rare and all between seven and nine dollars.

The pizza looks good and I'll have to try it next time. Smoked duck, truffle, fig and what not. Service was good but not super good. How come you guys have no tap water? And if you bring me an Acqua Panna, how about bringing a glass too? It's the little things...

Anyways, this place rocks!

We are new to the area and decided to try the place after reading several positive reviews on Yelp.
Atmosphere: It has a fun hip atmosphere but can get pretty loud between the music and acoustics of the place.
Food: I enjoy a well done pizza, but with that being said. The pizza was a little too chard to really enjoy all of the crust. However the toping and sauce were all first rate. I have been told that there wood fired wings are exceptional and will give them a try on my next visit.
Beer: They particularly shine in the draft department as most establishments in this area only carry the bland draft basics. I believe they had a total of 8 local and regional draft selections of good quality. During my visit I had the Six Points Resin. It was presented to me in a snifter which is the proper glassware for such a big beer.
Overall: I would visit them again, but I am more interested in imbibing in the draft selections than having their food. That being said I want this place to succeed as this area and CT in general needs more beer centric establishments.

Third trip here over a few months and contiuned to be impressed.

Pizza: good traditional crust with a mix of traditional and non-traditional offerings. All in the 12" personal variety. They highlight local and fresh produce and products. A welcome addition to the area. Prices are all over the map from about $12 a pie upto $18 which I find pricey for a 12" pie.

Other food: great salad and appetizer options.

Beer: well maintained and thoughtful bottle list. 4 taps. This time Evil Twin Ron and the Beast Ryan, Founders Red Rye PA, Smuttynose Old Brown Dog and Captain Lawrence Sunblock. Last time about 2 weeks ago they had Two Roads Igor's Dream and Maine Peeper.

Summary fresh local ingredients to make a solid pizza. Very good beer selection. Great atmosphere. Kid freindly earlier in the night. Slightly on the pricey side but you are paying for quality.

Stopped here on a whim after seeing the other review on beerfly. Really cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Oven to the left when you walk in and a small bar to the right. They had Gandi Bot, Breckenridge IPA, Two Roads Igor's Revenge, and Rogue Hazelnut on tap. Their bottle list was great and written out on a nice bar menu. 20 minute wait was 10 minutes.

The menu is decently sized with appetizers, a few pasta options, and pre-made pizza options. They use stone ground while wheat from Naples and as many local ingredients as they can. Everything is done from scratch and the pizzas were prepared quickly. I went wih sweet Italian sausage, red onions, basil, and mozerella on a red pizza. The crust was soft, a touch doughy, and had a great crunch in spots.

I paired it with a fresh Gandhi Bot - two weeks old.

Price was 13 for the pizza.

Service was excellent.

This is a great spot for a tasty 12in pie, some apps, a beer, or a dessert. My wife and I enjoyed it!

I have been coming to Stanziato's for a couple years now and it has easily become my favorite place in Danbury. The food, the atmosphere and most importantly, the beer, is spot on. I have become close with the owner and it's hard to walk in there and not get into a long conversation with him about beer. He's very passionate about his restaurant and about cooking and as long as that remains, there's no doubt that Stanziato's will continue to succeed. I strongly suggest stopping by if you are ever in the Danbury area or over the border in NY, it's about 15 minutes away. I can promise you it too will become one of your favorite places to visit.
