Overall - Not a personal favorite. I preferred the 860 over the 203, although I wasn't too impressed by either.
A - Golden with a 1 finger white head. Nothing to write home about on this one...
S - Smell is off-putting, sorry to disappoint, but I'm not too enthralled with it. No scent of any maltiness, no fruity hops, no floral hops, just an astringent bitterness. It smells like it came straight out of an aluminum fermenter.
T - 1-dimensional bitterness. Not sweet, not syrupy, not much of an alcohol bite, not sour, just a metallic bitter bite.
M - Slightly watery, not thick, not effervescent, not bubbly or smooth, just blah...
O - I would pass on this beer if I were you. There are many others I would purchase before this one again. Certainly an "AVERAGE" rated beer in my opinion...

A- Rust color orange, cloudy. It has a nice creamy looking head. Looks are appealing.
S- Floral hops with a slight citrus accent in the background. Scent is equally as malty. Touch of breadiness. Slight toffee notes. Nice change of pace for an East Coast style IPA, but mostly a familiar smelling IPA.
T- The initial sip is of a citrus type juice (maybe grapefruit and orange mix), but finishes all florally. The malty taste is great. It really rounds out the hop flavor nicely. Not bready like in the aroma. Drying in the finish. Almost makes this feel ever so slightly chewy. It just dries out the back of the throat. Interesting, but not in a bad way. Just a good example of an East Coast style IPA here. No complaints.
M- Carbonation makes this taste crisp for sure! First sip is slightly watery with that juicy quality, but ends up with a medium mouthfeel overall. Not real heavy at all, but sitts a little too heavy to be quaffable.
*Overall this is a great example of an East Coast IPA. There isn't a dominating floral taste, but true to an East Coast IPA, it's certainty there. I'm starting to think Connecticut has some real nice craft beers and IPAs in general. I need to try/review more from the state.
