This one looked good upon the pour, a nice golden color with white head that faded quick, but left decent lacing. It even smelled fairly decent with some light citrus notes. But the taste was anything but unique, remniscient of most basic commercial lagers. Malty, with light hops. Carbonated well, very light mouthfeel, and relatively drinkable considering not very flavorful.

Basic.
Golden. Poor head retention.
Generic beer aroma.
Light bodied and fizzy.
Grainy, subtly astringent maltiness. A bit acrimonious... poor hot break, perhaps?
Dull, worn down hop flavor.
Finishes dry with a lingering, harsh bitterness (not that it's overly bitter, it actually has a nice, solid bitterness level - but it's rough due to whatever brewing flaw is going on).
Hmmm....?
It might be refreshing ice cold and straight from the bottle on a hot summer day.

Bought at the Apolonia market at Gale Beach Portugal. They may have one of the funniest 6 pack holders I have ever seen.

Poured into a glass, the beer is a pale yellow with a large soapy white head. Surprisingly, the beer has decent lacing.

The aroma is fresh and clean. Grains with a touch of honey.

The beer is slightly sweet with a grainy taste with some light floral hop notes. There are no off or adjunct types of taste.

The mouth is crisp and refreshing. It is a simple, clean and easy to drink beer.

This was the cheapest 6 pick I bought while visiting Portugal. It was only 2.75 Euros (just under $4.00). I was pleasantly surprised by this one and will buy it if I return. Seems perfectly calibrated to the climate and the local food.

Product of Portugal… hmmm… my first. Very light in color. Pale yellowy gold with a good amount of carbonation and very thin head of mottled white foam. A positive attribute is its clarity. Very clear indeed. The aroma yields your typical corona like things – soapy, sour, tangy graininess. Not altogether unpleasant, but really uninteresting. The taste surprises me as light and flavorful, with a clean and crisp profile. It’s easy on the palate and finishes smooth and clean. I can enjoy a Corona or Pacifico once in awhile, and this beer is maybe better than those.

It started with a bad sign, as the cork was unmarked. The beer pours with a golden color and was very clear. The head was non-existent (the instant the beer was served the head disappeared).

The smell was almost unperceivable and the taste was very lightly bitter. The mouthfeel was gassy, low-strengthed, watery and characterless. The finish was really very short.

I would not recommend this one and will not try it again.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 1B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 3439641366. AROMA: slight sweet malt aroma with grainy notes. no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and translucent. thin white head with poor retention. TASTE: very faint malt/grainy flavour with a sweet note. no hop flavour and low bitterness. finishes semi-dry. PALATE: thin body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a very poor and watered down pale lager.
